Sonomar Collection: Magnetic

Experience the power of magnetic force with Sonomar Collection: Magnetic, featuring over 1,600 designed impacts, rattles and scrapes as well as the 200+ raw recordings used to create them. With deep tonal resonances, subtle debris rattles and sharp impacts, Magnetic offers a wide variety of high quality recordings for your sound design needs that showcase all aspects of magnetic attraction. To capture these sounds, sound designer and recordist Martin Pinsonnault (Big Little Lies, Dallas Buyers Club) and the team at Sonomar amassed a collection of magnets - ranging from small watch batteries to large speaker magnets and a variety of metal objects. Using MKH-8040 microphones in an XY setup, Sonomar recorded numerous vibrations, collisions and resonances resulting from a wide range of magnetic intensity. The high sample rate of 192kHz opens up limitless potential for pitching and processing, a feature that is masterfully exemplified by the designed sounds within the collection that are ready to use in your audio projects.

Each sound file is embedded with diligent metadata to help you find the exact sound effect you need with fast, pinpoint search.
