Vault Door is a mechanical sound effects library that brings resonance to your creative design. Recorded at the 20th Century Fox Sound Editorial Building, expert sound artists Chris Diebold (Spiderman: No Way Home) and Tobias Poppe (Jojo Rabbit) captured the detailed and booming sounds of several heavy, fireproof doors with chain mechanisms surrounded by thick concrete walls. The result is a collection of high quality, well-isolated sounds perfect for creative processing.

Diverse performances of opening and closing doors, gear rotations and whines, reverberant booms and scrapes, and screeching slides are essential effects for making that abandoned building scene sufficiently creepy. All sound effects were recorded at 24bit/96kHz and 192kHz with high quality microphones, including the Sanken CO-100K. Plus, the library’s selection of included pre-designed sounds makes pulling in the right effect as easy as drag-and-drop.
